Balloon Sinuplasty FAQs

During the procedure, a catheter with a small balloon attached at the tip is gently guided via video monitor to the blocked sinus. Once the balloon is in position, it is carefully inflated. As the balloon expands, it restructures the sinus lining without removing any tissue. Finally, the balloon is deflated and removed while the passage remains open, allowing for better mucus drainage and relieving pressure.
